 Johann Strauss was Vienna’s passport to the “lightness of being”. And the programme brochure for the Strauss Festival 2025 sets out to do very much the same thing. It starts off with a fine, elegant line accompanying us skilfully through the abundant spectrum of events. Very much like the sky over Vienna, a constant feature of the brochure, it changes its coruscating colour schemes every month. Master Johann himself is of course the jovial centre of attention. Cut in pieces like a jigsaw puzzle, he looks out from kaleidoscopic collages and light-heartedly lends his presence to futuristic 3D artwork. Precious photos of legendary Strauss productions, intriguing glimpses of Old Vienna, all the ingredients intermix to produce new impressions, fully in tune with one of the Festival’s mottos: “Straussing It Up in Vienna 2025”.
