On 31 December 2025 the final whistle will sound closing the Strauss Festival marathon. Surprise guests will be on hand to make the final event as opulent as it is entertaining. We look back on a wildly eventful year showcasing Strauss in familiar and unfamiliar guise as Vienna’s most approachable
musical genius. Or as George Gershwin puts it in his song By Strauss: “Let the Danube flow along and the Fledermaus, keep the wine and give me song by Strauss!”
